VoyaX MOSSA 128 Fishing Kayak

The VoyaX MOSSA 128 is a purpose-built fishing kayak designed around one simple idea: make time on the water easier, more controlled and more productive. Combining pedal propulsion, electric assistance, GPS-powered positioning and intuitive steering into the innovative XPDL™ Drive System, the MOSSA 128 gives anglers an entirely new level of control without making the kayak complicated to operate.
At 12’8″ (approximately 3.86 m) long and 37″ (approximately 94 cm) wide, the MOSSA 128 provides a stable and spacious fishing platform while retaining the manoeuvrability needed to work productive fishing areas. With a 580 lb (263 kg) load capacity, it is designed to accommodate a substantial fishing setup, including your tackle, electronics, battery and other equipment. The 93 lb (42.2 kg) hull weight provides a strong foundation for a fully equipped fishing kayak, while the complete rigged weight is listed at 164 lb (74.4 kg), including the seat, XPDL drive and battery.
XPDL™ – Three Ways to Move
At the heart of the MOSSA 128 is the XPDL™ Drive System, integrating motor power, GPS positioning and pedal propulsion into a single system. Rather than relying on separate systems for different functions, XPDL brings them together to create a streamlined fishing platform.
The system offers three drive modes: Assist, Electric and Manual. In Assist mode, electric torque works together with each pedal stroke, providing a boost similar to the way an e-bike combines human effort with electric assistance. Electric mode provides powered propulsion, while Manual mode allows the kayak to be operated through pedal power. These modes can be changed on the fly, allowing you to adapt your propulsion to the conditions and the way you want to fish.
SpotHold® – Stay on the Fish
One of the standout features of the MOSSA 128 is SpotHold®, integrated directly into the XPDL system. Designed to hold the kayak’s position, SpotHold can maintain your position even in changing conditions and rapid currents. Instead of constantly correcting your position with a paddle, pedals or motor, you can concentrate on casting, working your
lure or preparing your next move.
For anglers fishing structure, drop-offs, current lines or other specific locations, this positioning capability can make a significant difference.
Infinite 360° Steering
The MOSSA 128 also introduces Infinite 360° Steering, allowing the kayak to turn in any direction without conventional steering cables. VoyaX describes the system as cable-free, eliminating the traditional issues associated with cable steering such as jams and restricted movement.
Control is provided through the Knob 360 Controller, which puts multiple functions within easy reach. From the controller, anglers can steer, activate SpotHold, change assist modes, adjust power levels and operate a customisable button.
Navigation Assist
The XPDL system also incorporates navigation assistance designed to reduce the amount of attention required to maintain your course. The MOSSA 128 offers Track Cruise, Spot Cruise and Course Lock functions. Track Cruise allows you to follow a preset path, helping you stay focused on fishing rather than continually correcting your direction.
Built for Fishing
The MOSSA 128 has been designed from the hull up around the needs of anglers. It features 26 gallons of bow storage, equivalent to approximately 98 litres, with an integrated 11-gallon (approximately 42-litre) storage tub for organising equipment. A further 2-gallon (approximately 7.6-litre) dry storage area is incorporated into the XPDL system.
The kayak also provides 148 inches (approximately 3.76 m) of wraparound track, giving anglers plenty of flexibility for mounting accessories and rigging their preferred setup. The rear tankwell measures approximately 55.4 cm x 61 cm, providing additional space for fishing equipment and gear.
Comfortable, Adjustable Seating
Long days on the water demand a comfortable seating system, and the MOSSA 128 features an adjustable chair with breathable material designed to improve airflow. The adjustable design allows anglers to find a comfortable position for extended fishing sessions while maintaining easy access to the kayak’s controls.
Performance

With the electric assist system engaged, the MOSSA 128 has a listed top speed of 6.5 mph, approximately 10.5 km/h. Combined with its 580 lb (263 kg) capacity and generous rigging space, this makes the MOSSA 128 particularly suited to anglers who want to carry a comprehensive fishing setup without compromising the benefits of a pedal-powered kayak.
