The VoyaX MOSSA 97 is a compact, technology-driven fishing kayak designed for anglers who want the control and capability of an advanced pedal-and-electric system without the size and weight of a larger fishing kayak. XPDL™ Drive System

At the centre of the MOSSA 97 is the XPDL™ Drive System, providing three different ways to propel the kayak: Assist, Electric and Manual.

Assist mode combines your pedal input with electric torque, giving each pedal stroke an additional boost. VoyaX describes the experience

as similar to an e-bike, where human effort is combined with electric power. Electric mode provides powered propulsion, while Manual mode allows you to operate the kayak using pedal power alone.

The three drive modes can be switched while on the water, allowing you to select the level of assistance that best suits your fishing situation.

SpotHold® Positioning

For anglers, maintaining position can be just as important as moving efficiently. The MOSSA 97’s SpotHold® function is integrated into the XPDL Drive System and is designed to hold the kayak in position, including in changing conditions and rapid currents.

This means you can spend less time making constant corrections and more time concentrating on casting, lure presentation and fishing the area in front of you. SpotHold is particularly useful when you want to remain over a productive location without continually operating the drive.

Infinite 360° Steering

The MOSSA 97 features Infinite 360° Steering, giving the kayak the ability to turn in any direction without traditional steering cables. VoyaX designed the system without cables, helping eliminate the jams and limitations associated with conventional cable steering.

Control is handled through the Knob 360 Controller, which provides access to steering, SpotHold activation, assist modes and power-level adjustment, along with a customisable button. The result is a highly integrated control system that keeps the kayak’s key functions within easy reach.

Navigation Assist

The XPDL system also incorporates navigation assistance through Track Cruise, Spot Cruise and Course Lock modes.

Track Cruise allows you to follow a pre-set path, helping reduce the need for constant course corrections while travelling between fishing locations. These navigation features add another layer of control to the MOSSA 97 and complement its electric-assist and positioning capabilities.

Compact Fishing Platform

Where the MOSSA 128 is designed around a larger loadout, the MOSSA 97 takes a different approach. Its compact hull is intended to make solo transport and launching more manageable, without removing the key technology that defines the MOSSA range.

The kayak provides 87 inches (approximately 2.21 m) of wraparound track, giving you plenty of usable mounting space for accessories and fishing equipment. The rear tankwell measures 18.9″ x 33.5″, approximately 48 x 85 cm, while the foredeck provides an additional 16.5″ x 18.5″, approximately 42 x 47 cm, of usable space.

Storage and Rigging

The MOSSA 97 incorporates 2.5 gallons (approximately 9.5 litres) of XPDL dry storage, providing a dedicated area for keeping essential items protected.

Unlike the MOSSA 128, which features a larger bow-storage system, the MOSSA 97 focuses on a compact layout with accessible deck and rear storage areas. This helps keep the kayak’s overall footprint manageable while still providing practical space for fishing equipment.

Adjustable Comfort

The MOSSA range features an adjustable chair constructed with breathable material designed to improve airflow and comfort. For anglers spending extended periods on the water, the adjustable seating position allows the kayak to be set up around the individual user while maintaining convenient access to the drive controls.
